Advantages of the PectusVac

The PectusVac should be used consistently while following the easy instructions provided by the Medical personnel.

These are the advantages:

  • Soft and Strong: It is soft on the skin and it is self-retaining.
  • Follow the Progress: The simple measuring rod parts allows you to follow the correction progress of the pectus excavatum.
  • Disconnect the Suction Pump: With the valve in place, suction can be maintained without the suction pump.
  • Tough Velcro: The Velcro wrap secures the device to the chest and prevents it from falling off.

PECTUSVAC INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Mark Your Spot: Note the deepest part of the Pectus Excavatum.
  2. Measure: Use the provided measuring rod to determine the depth of the defect, and record the depth.
  3. Place: Center the PectusVac over the chest with the marked spot underneath.
  4. Press: Gently create a vacuum by pressing down on the PectusVac.
  5. Wrap: Secure the device to the chest with the velcro wrap.
  6. Adjust Pressure: For more suction, pump the bulb 2-3 times and then detach it.
  7. Wear: Use the device for about 4 hours a day.
  8. With the PectusVac sticking to the chest, wrap the velcro around the chest to further secure the PectusVac to the chest.
